Salvation
Salvation

Is salvation accessible only to people of wealth and power? Is greed the driving force why we can't save ourselves and our environment?

The suburban sprawl of overconsumption and the driving urge of mass-industrialization and its byproducts to homogenize the earth will become not only nature's problem but ultimately our demise. Humanity's conquest of profit over nature will eventually tip the scale into nature's conquest of humanity. This mural is dedicated to asylum seekers in desperate need of a safe shelter. With the rate we’re going, we’ll all become refugees ourselves someday where nations and currency are deemed worthless. I hope during this quarantine period of isolation and self-love and inner growth, we could shift our focus on reflecting about the state of our real home outside of our houses.

Be The Love You Seek
Be The Love You Seek

Isolation through quarantine could be tough but also rewarding if you take advantage of this time to focus on treating yourself with some much needed self love and getting to know your inner self. You could only check on how people are doing for so long. Try taking this time to reflect on how you’re doing. How is my spirit doing and how can I grow from this point on? I’ve been spending quarantine by doing things I’ve always wanted to do but never had the time for before all of this. How have you been spending quarantine?

“The artist's role is to raise the consciousness of the people. To make them understand life, the world and themselves more completely.” -Amiri Baraka

From Private David Fagen, a Black Buffalo soldier who was shipped off to see combat from San Francisco, California to Manila in June 1899 to fight in the Philippine-American war, but defected and joined the cause of the Philippine Revolutionary Army. To the yellow peril supporting Black power in the 1970’’s and showing genuine solidarity with the Black Panther Party. The history of Black & Filipino solidarity is imperative to the struggle of the international working class resisting U.S. imperialism!

"Golden Boy" Cambodia Town Mural Project 2017

It is my love letter to Cambodia Town which is the neighborhood I grew up in Long Beach. It should serve as a monument to young Asian-American men to fight mass media and cultural emasculation.
Special thanks to my dudes @orvz1 and @rfx.one for slugging this one out with me. Thank you to @vanndearlyn for the time to help us and also to those who came by and supported during the painting stages.

Basketball is a universal sport that transcends discipline and just chucking a ball into the basket. Social class, cultural background, net worth, gender, age, political indifferences all dissolve the moment you decide to step into the court and allow the universal language of teamwork to speak for you.

Hello Welcome Art Collective, IceHouse

Feeling the other person’s pain when you’re looking at them or hearing their story. It changes the way we see the world through the other person’s eyes and seeing both sides of the fence without any barriers through their stories. This one is for the extra-judicial killings in the Philippines, to Venezuela, Cuba; victims of imperialism, racism, sexism and other forms of oppression and violence. I hear you and know that I understand. There is hope and strength in solidarity and I stand by you.

Here’s a fun project titled “Legacy” I got to work on with @metro.art.la @metrolosangeles A-Line (aka Blue Line) along with a few other artists. It will also be featured in future editions of the TAP card this year. I selected a subject very close to me. It’s my mom who has been taking the Metro line to her office job in LA since we arrived to Long Beach from 2001. I simply wanted to highlight that working immigrant elders are an underrepresented group in the workforce and society in general today. On her lap is my niece being passed on the Metro ridership experience.
